Enea Połaniec’s board composition changes

On 14 March changes in Połaniec Power Plant’s board were effected. Alfreda Świtek, connected with Połaniec Power Plant from the beginning of her career, remains on the position of the company’s president. The following people will hold functions in the management board as well: Lech Żak – vice-president for technical affairs and Dawid Klimczak – vice-president for portfolio management.

Enea underlines that, incorporating Połaniec Power Plant into the Group, it will utilise good experiences of the company and the competence of its Employees.

Alfreda Świtek, president of the board, graduated from the Cracow University of Economics majoring in Economics and Organisation of Trade and Services with the specialisation in Modern Methods of Controlling the Commodity Turnover System, obtaining the Master of Science of Economics degree. In 1989 she completed postgraduate studies at the Cracow University of Economics specialising in Management Methods, and in 2001 completed other postgraduate studies at the same university within Accounting and Finance. Currently, she is undergoing the certified auditor’s licence training. She has been the President of the Board of ENGIE Energia Polska S.A. since May 2014 and she has been connected with Połaniec Power Plant since 1991.

Lech Żak, vice-president for technical affairs, is graduate of the major of Electrical Power Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Poznan University of Technology.  He also graduated from e.g. relevant postgraduate studies at Warsaw School of Economics, Poznan University of Economics and Wielkopolskie Business School. Connected with the energy sector for over 40 years, went through all the stages of professional experience, from engineering to managerial duties. He was e.g. the first president of Enea Operator. He holds all professional licences required in the power engineering sector, is the author of innovative solutions within the organisation and financing ESCO projects and utility models within energy engineering. He uses his professional skills in social work in sectoral associations, e.g. as the Chairman of the Branch of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers SEP.

Dawid Klimczak, vice-president for trade and portfolio management is a PhD of economic sciences, a graduate of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Łazarski University , Warsaw School of Economics and Poznan University of Technology. He holds numerous brokerage licences, e.g. European Energy Exchange, Energy Exchange Austria, EUREX Exchange and Commodity Broker. His specialisations include: proprietary trading, origination, power coal trade and trade in natural gas both on the domestic and foreign market. Connected with the energy sector for 8 years, in March 2016 he became the president of Enea Trading, a company performing wholesale trade in Enea Group. He will join the work in both boards.

During the next weeks Enea Połaniec will formally join Enea Group. The company is already integrating with the Group with the aim of effecting the synergies resulting from the establishment of Kozienice-Bogdanka-Połaniec mining and generation area.
