Krzysztof Szlaga Bogdanka’s new president

Krzysztof Szlaga became a new President of Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka. The other new members of the company’s management board are: Stanisław Misterek – Vice-President of the Management Board for Economic and Commercial Affairs and Adam Partyka – Vice-President of the Management Board for HR and Social Affairs. Enea Group, as the holder of a total of 66 per cent of shares in the mine, is a strategic investor of Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka.

Krzysztof Szlaga, the President of the Management Board of LWB, is a graduate of the Cracow University of Economics and golds the Diplom-Betriebswirt degree awarded by the University of Applied Sciences in Kiel (Germany).

In his career, he has focused, from the very beginning, on capital-intensive sectors. He holds long experience in leading complex restructuring processes in the heavy industry.

He has been connected with LW Bogdanka since 2013, recently as the Vice-President of the Management Board for Purchases and Investments. He gained his professional experience in international enterprises such as: KPMG Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft, Ernst & Young Audit and CTL Logistics.

Stanisław Misterek, Vice-President of the Management Board for Economic and Commercial Affairs, is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin and post-graduate studies at e.g. Warsaw School of Economics.

He has been connected with the mining and extraction industry and Lublin Coal Basin for 37 years. Since 1990 he has held key positions in LWB Capital Group. From 2008 to 2016 he was responsible for finance in Łęczyńska Energetyka.

He graduated from numerous trainings within finance management and accounting.

Adam Partyka, Vice-President of the Management Board for HR and Social Affairs, graduated from Lublin University of Technology  and post-graduate studies at the University College of Enterprise and Administration in Lublin.

He has been connected with Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka since 1985. He has been the Deputy Chairman of NSZZ “Solidarność” Trade Union since June 2014. He was an underground shift mining foreman of electrical equipment. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of LW Bogdanka.

He graduated from numerous trainings within audit, liability and competences of the management personnel and finance for managers,

The new management board commences their work on Friday, 1 April. At the same time, as of 31 March, the so far members of the management board of LWB were recalled: Zbigniew Stopa, Waldemar Bernaciak, Piotr Janicki and Jakub Stęchły.
