ENEA Group H1 2018 results in line with expectations

In the first half of 2018 ENEA Group reached PLN 6,040 million of net sales revenues, EBITDA of PLN 1,304 million, and net profit of PLN 462 million – according to preliminary data released by the company. The results of H1 are in line with expectations.

According to preliminary data for January-June period, the highest EBITDA PLN 580 million was achieved in the distribution area. In the generation area it totalled PLN 437 million, while in the trading area PLN 29 million. Mining area recorded PLN 274 million of EBITDA. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company amounted to PLN 431 million.

On a consolidated level preliminary results for H1 2018 are in line with our expectations, in some aspects even exceeding them. The results reflect the dynamics of transformation taking place in external environment of particular areas of ENEA Group’s activity. Which is  constantly stabilized by the regulated part of our business – said Piotr Olejniczak, ENEA’s Vice-President of the Management Board for Financial Affairs.

ENEA recorded growth in sales volume of electricity to the end users – at the end of H1 the sales volume of electricity and gas fuel to retail customers stood at 10.654 TWh. In the January-June period sales volume of distribution services to end customers also rose - and at the end of June stood at 10.047 TWh. In H1 2018 the ENEA Group generated 13.981 TWh of electricity and extracted 4.52 million tonnes of coal.

The final results of the ENEA Group will be presented in the extended consolidated H1 report, which release is scheduled for 13 September 2018.
