The National Centre for Research and Development and Poland’s leading energy companies take another step on the road to electromobility

The National Centre for Research and Development of Poland and the largest Polish energy companies ENEA SA, Energa-Operator SA, PGE Dystrybucja SA and Tauron Dystrybucja have signed a letter of intent on multilateral cooperation for the development of electromobility in the country. Within the scope of the intended cooperation, the “e-VAN” Project will be initiated, which is aimed to develop state-of-the-art carbon-neutral commercial vehicles.

The main objective of the “e-VAN” Project is to design an innovative zero-emissions delivery van which would primarily, but not only, be well-suited to the requirements of the letter signatories so that it can be used for everyday work tasks by their teams. To coordinate all the activities under the cooperation agreement, including the R&D ones, a dedicated project team will be established, which will help develop innovative technical solutions that better respond to market needs. As a result, the leading Polish energy companies who signed the letter of intent will be the first to order and incorporate the ready van into their fleets. The “e-VAN” Project is scheduled to finish in 2022.

Having in mind the diverse and international nature of Enea SA's shareholding, and also the provisions of the Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies, Enea SA guarantees the availability of its website also in English. In case of any interpretation doubts and discrepancies between the Polish and English versions, the Polish version shall prevail.
