Enea joined TUW PZUW
Enea finalised talks on joining Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych PZUW (mutual insurance company) and signed the membership declaration during the Economic Forum in Krynica.
Enea’s joining TUW PZUW is part of the cooperation between strategic state owned enterprises. It was one of the topics of a special discussion panel organised by PZU which was participated by the largest state owned enterprises, including: Tauron, Enea, Węglokoks, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, GAZ-SYSTEM and PGE.
- Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych Polski Zakład Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych has the greatest potential in insuring the energy sector. Among many advantages, the membership in TUW will guarantee Enea e.g. full transparency as regards the premium – says Michał Krupiński, president of PZU.
Enea signed the membership declaration in the presence of Dawid Jackiewicz, the minister of treasury. The members of TUW include already e.g.: Polska Grupa Górnicza and Polska Grupa Energetyczna.
- Joining a mutual insurance company proves the consistent implementation of optimisation projects. We already have positive experience in concluding insurances in TUW PZUW and we know that the cooperation with a proved and experienced partner will guarantee sound foundations for the needs of our insurance programme – says Mikołaj Franzkowiak, vice-president of Enea for financial affairs.
A cooperative insurance association dedicated to Enea was created as part of TUW PZU. The company will use the possibility of concluding an agreement with the mutual insurance company of which it became a member, which will allow for achieving not only favourable terms but also shorten the process of concluding insurances.
TUW PZUW insures only its members based on the mutuality principle. TUW members are its owners at the same time. The insurance company is supervised by Polish Financial Supervision Authority and PZU SA is the capital guarantor.
