Enea Group at the European Economic Congress

Three days of meetings, over 110 debates and many accompanying events - the seventh edition of the European Economic Congress As every year, Enea Group's representatives spoke in discussions over the core issues for the energy sector.

On the first day, the panel opening the discussion on energy, titled: "Energy, industry, climate, which is three in one" was participated by the president of Enea, Krzysztof Zamasz. People spoke on the idea of the European energy solidarity in the context of security and economic growth, impact of the Community climate protection policy on the competitiveness. - We stand up on energy efficiency, investing in the reinstatement of generating capacities in Poland – emphasized Zamasz. – There will be neither climate protection, nor welfare without a modern industry – emphasised the Minister of Treasury, Włodzimierz Karpiński. Enea's president also participated in the panel on "End of the traditional power industry? Transformations and strategies”.

Grzegorz Kinelski, vice-president for commercial affairs, discussed the energy market in 2030 and the capacity market. He indicated that current investments will serve Poland for many years, these are not power plants "for now". Vice-president for corporate affairs, Paweł Orlof, in the panel devoted to investments in the power industry, spoke on units constructed in Kozienice, Opole and Jaworzno: - This is the peak of the global technical thought. Dalida Gepfert, vice-preside for financial affairs, spoke on the financing of these investments, paying attention that the energy sector must optimise costs and finance them with own funds.

Also representatives of Enea Wytwarzanie were present at the European Economic Congress: president Krzysztof Sadowski and vice-president for renewable energy affairs, Michał Prażyński. The latter took part in the discussion devoted to renewable energy sources. - RES is a chance for good changes, and not a wedge into a conventional energy sector – he emphasised.
