International energy congress already in a month in Poznań

World's trends in the power industry, innovations, challenges and energy security - these are just a few topics which will be faced by guests of Energy21 Congress. Specialists, practitioners, economists and scientists from Poland and abroad will meet at the end of May in Poznań. Together, they will search for answers to the most current questions relating to the future of the energy sector. We are commencing accepting applications of journalists interested in attending the Congress.

Over forty speakers of the Poznań Congress included energy experts from Italy, Belgium, United States of America, Great Britain, France, Norway, Germany and Island. Many of them will be visiting Poland for the first time. E.g. Giovanni De Santi, Jean-Arnold Vinois, Peter Fox-Penner, Mark A. Jamison, Yannick Perez, Pierre Regibeau, Atle Midttun, Karsten Neuhoff and many others will come to Poznań. During the panels they will discuss with e.g. presidents of the largest Polish energy companies: Enea PGE, Tauron, Energa and RWE.

- Energy21 is an international congress not only by its name. The fact is confirmed by our guests. There is no doubt that it is one of the most important sectoral events this year – says Marek Woszczyk, president of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna of the Polish Electricity Committee.

– We gathered extremely interesting experts, of a global renown, under one roof. Together, we wish to answer the most important questions faced by the energy sector - says Krzysztof Zamasz, president of Enea which is the Congress's host.

Panels' topics are current and very specific problems. – discussions will not be academic. This is a meeting for practitioners who co-develop the Polish energy sector every day – explains dr hab. Mariusz Swora, President of the Congress Programme Committee.

Innovations will be the leading motif of the Poznań meeting. - The world of music and the world of business have much to offer to each other. Their co-existence should be therefore obvious. However, it is not, for various reasons. Via this initiative we want to encourage scientists and the business to reduce the distance between them – explains prof. Witold Orłowski, an economist of PricewaterhouseCoopers Polska and one of the speakers.

The organisers promise a concrete dose of knowledge, experience and inspiration. - Energy companies came to a crossroads. The traditional business model is still dominating. Let's try to predict the future of the energy sector – explains dr Mark A. Jamison, the head of Public Utility Research Center, Warrington College of Business Administration, University of Florida.

The first edition of Energy21 Congress will be held on 26 and 27 May 2015, as an undertaking accompanying "Expopower" International Energy Fair. It is an event with a limited number of spaces. Updated information published at energy21.pl/ang and Twitter: @Energy21Poznan.
