ENEA at WIG20 - the elite of Polish listed companies
ENEA's shares will be traded on the largest index of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, WIG20. It will be done on 20 March, when numerous portfolios of the index will be reviewed. The decision by the authorities of WSE confirms the fact that ENEA is one of the key Polish companies which greatly affect also the events on the Warsaw trading floor.
WIG20 index comprises 20 best and most liquid companies on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It is the key ratio of the economic situation, and also the key index and base instrument for futures contracts and options.
In consequence of the change ENEA expects e.g. a further growth in the profitability of its shares and widening of the investor base with the largest investment funds which focus only on those companies which are listed on the most important index of WSE.
WIG20 has been operating since 1994. It is a price index which means that only the prices of transactions concluded on it and not dividend income are taken into account when calculating it. No more than 5 companies from the same stock exchange sector may be listed on WIG20.
