New Supervisory Board of MPEC Białystok
The Meeting of Shareholders of MPEC Białystok appointed a new Supervisory Board of the company. It is a result of subscription for 85 per cent shares in Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej in Białystok by ENEA Wytwarzanie. The Meeting of Shareholders made also all the required changes in the company's statute.
The newly appointed Supervisory Board is composed of the following people from ENEA: Paweł Orlof, as the chairman and members: Piotr Janicki, Piotr Andrusiewicz, Jerzy Mager, and Elżbieta Bieniek-Koronkiewicz from the city of Białystok. The amendments made to the company's statute related to issues connected with the change of the owner and adjusting the provisions of the document to corporate standards being in force in ENEA Group.
Pursuant to the principles being in force in ENEA, the Group representatives will not receive any additional remuneration for sitting in the Supervisory Board of MPEC.
In mid September ENEA Wytwarzanie took up 85 per cent shares in Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej in Białystok. The agreement between ENEA Wytwarzanie and Białystok city was signed in May 2014, and at the beginning of September the transaction was approved by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.
The merger of assets of MPEC and Elektrociepłownia Białystok belonging to ENEA Wytwarzanie means optimisation of heat production and enhancement of the condition of the natural environment in the city. The heat and power plant possesses two modern units fired with biomass, with zero emission of CO2.
During the upcoming five years ENEA Wytwarzanie will invest over PLN 100 mln in the development and modernisation of MPEC. Thanks to renovations of heating networks and nodes, the company will increase the efficiency of heat sources and heating networks. ENEA will also modernise Ciepłownia Zachód, adjusting it to the ecological requirements which are getting stricter.
Having in mind the diverse and international nature of Enea SA's shareholding, and also the provisions of the Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies, Enea SA guarantees the availability of its website also in English. In case of any interpretation doubts and discrepancies between the Polish and English versions, the Polish version shall prevail.
