ENEA the leader within corporate social responsibility reporting
ENEA Capital Group published the CSR report (corporate social responsibility) for 2012. The document was developed based on the latest international Global Reporting Initiative: GRI G4, on the level of "Core" application. The reporting process was performed in accordance with four principles of the standard: allowing for Stakeholders, importance, context of sustainable development and completeness. Thus far, only two companies in Poland prepared their non-financial reports in accordance with those guidelines.
"ENEA Capital Group Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2012" contains information on the company's relations with key stakeholders. It describes the scale and nature of the Group operations' impact on the social environment and investments it realises and plans for the environmental protection. The section devoted to Customers discusses the nature of the implemented system changes which affect the quality of their service and the level of satisfaction.
"It was important for us to prepare the report in accordance with the latest international CSR reporting guidelines published in May in Amsterdam: GRI G4. We managed to meet the ambitious task, as one of the two Polish companies." – says Olga Fasiecka, Director of the Corporate Communication Department ENEA S.A.
Specialists from ENEA Capital Group companies and external stakeholders were engaged in the reporting process. The content of the report is available on-line on a dedicated interactive site: http://raportcsr.enea.pl.
„GRI G4 standard results in stakeholders receiving short and concise and most important information relating to the activities undertaken by the company. For their convenience, greater availability and in accordance with the pro-ecological approach, the report was published only on-line” – adds Joanna Maderska, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager in ENEA S.A.
Thanks to non-financial data transparently published in CSR reports ENEA S.A. for two years has found itself among the best of its industry. In the "ESG analysis of companies in Poland" research published in October 2013 and organised by e.g. Stock Exchange Issuers Association, the company was among TOP30 listed companies and among three best companies in the international category of "Public utility company", which disclose data relating to the company's impact on the environment, society and corporate governance.
