Elektrociepłownia Białystok is building the flue gases denitrification installation
On 25 November an agreement was concluded for the construction of the installation of the catalytic denitrogenation of flue gases on K7 and K8 coal-fired boilers in Elektrociepłownia Białystok.
The contractor for the installation will be the consortium of Strabag Sp.z.o.o Polska (leader) & Strabag Energy Technology GmbH Austria. The contract value will amount to PLN 47 mln net. The investment will reduce the nitric oxide emissions from the present level of 500-600 mg/Nm3 to below 100 mg/Nm3. This way, Elektrociepłownia Białystok will make a further step to the adaptation of its installations to the requirements of the new industrial emissions directive (IED).
