Ecological investment totalling to almost PLN 36 mln
Miejska Energetyka Cieplna Piła Sp. z o.o. takes care for the heat comfort of Piła citizens. In order to do that in the most modern way, it invests in projects diminishing the negative influence on the environment.
The object will be the largest cogeneration unit powered with natural gas.
One of such activities is conclusion with a Polish and Italian concern, JOKA Sp. z o.o and CPL Concordia Societa Cooperativa O/Polska, on 20 May of an agreement totalling to ca. PLN 36 mln gross for the realisation of the investment "Development of the heating system in Piła through the installation of gas cogeneration aggregates in the regional boiler house KR-Koszyce in Piła". The co-funding is pending confirmation. It will total to PLN 12.5 mln. MEC Piła obtained PLN 4.5 mln loan from the Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Poznań, granted on preferential terms. The new object will be the largest cogeneration source powered with natural gas in Poland. It will allow for a concurrent production of ca. 10 MWt of heat energy and ca. 10 MWe of electricity.
