"The report of the corporate social responsibility of the ENEA Group 2011” was prepared in accordance with the international reporting standard, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and constitutes a new quality in the reporting of the ENEA Group.
The development of "The report of the corporate social responsibility of the ENEA Group 2011” is a natural consequence of the adoption by the Group of a document "The ENEA Capital Group's strategy of corporate social responsibility" and pursuing by particular Group companies the realisation of the set CSR goals. Representatives of particular ENEA Group companies took an active part in the CSR reporting process. The report was prepared in accordance with the international reporting standard, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and introduces a new quality into the reporting of the ENEA Group. „This is the first publication which in such a comprehensive way reflects our attitude towards the implementation of set strategic goals connected with the corporate social responsibility” – says Joanna Maderska, Manager for corporate social responsibility in ENEA S.A. „The reporting process compliant with the GRI standard is a demanding process which however brings tangible benefits. We hope that the effects of the efforts undertaken by us within this scope shall inspire others to a similar activity and that the reporting form, such as the CSR reporting, shall enter into the canon of practices applied by companies operating on the Polish market." – adds Maderska.
CSR report is a result of works of numerous employees of companies comprising the ENEA Group and external stakeholders engaged in the reporting process. The report contains information on the approach of the ENEA Group to develop relations with its key stakeholders. The indicators contained in the report reflect also the practices of the ENEA Group within the relations with employees, the scale and character of the environmental impact of the Group's operations and the investments it plans and realises for the environmental protection. The section devoted to customers discusses the character of the implemented system changes which directly translate into the service quality and the level of the ENEA Group's customer satisfaction.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting belongs to the valued and common practices on the international market. The goal of the CSR reporting is enhancing the communication transparency and the scope of information given to stakeholders regarding the activities undertaken by companies and their economic, social and environmental effects. GRI standard indicators and the rules specifying the principles of selection and gaining reported information facilitate companies in the realisation of this goal.
