How to benefit from responsibility? CSR in the strategy of listed companies
ENEA along with the Warsaw Stock Exchange provided strategic sponsorship for the publication dealing with CSR as an important element in strategies of companies listed on the Warsaw trading floor.
The publication prepared by CSRinfo in cooperation with Stowarzyszenie Emitentow Gieldowych (Stock Exchange Issuers Association) constitutes a vast source of information mentioning such issues as a profitability of implementation of the CSR strategy or best practices in this field. The publication presents 13 case studies and 88 examples from 23 branches.
All the issues which are currently covered by social responsibility of the business were handled by ENEA a long time before that term appeared in the Polish business vocabulary. The Company perceives the social responsibility of the business as a method of corporate management which considers expectations of the surrounding environment and makes it possible to rationally manage resources and permanently increase the value of the company through sustainable development measures. Therefore, it has been supporting CSR promoting initiatives already for a few years. In 2009 it signed the "Declaration on a sustainable development of the energy sector in Poland", and a year after the Company implemented the "Strategy of social responsibility of the ENEA Capital Group's business". Since 2011 it has been participating in the international Global Compact initiative.
Having in mind the diverse and international nature of Enea SA's shareholding, and also the provisions of the Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies, Enea SA guarantees the availability of its website also in English. In case of any interpretation doubts and discrepancies between the Polish and English versions, the Polish version shall prevail.
