Fitch Agency confirmed the "BBB" rating for ENEA
Fitch Ratings agency confirmed long-term ratings for ENEA S.A. in domestic and foreign currency at the level of "BBB" and a long-term domestic rating at the level of "A(pol)". The perspective of the ratings remains stable.
The confirmation of the ratings results from stable operating results and good financial results in 2011 of ENEA S.A. and ENEA Group together with keeping of the leading position on the domestic market of electricity distribution and sales, as well as an important position in the segment of generation. The financial profile of ENEA remains steady and is supported with a substantial volume of financial funds in the amount of PLN 2.5 bln at the end of 2011 (PLN 3 bln at the end of 2010), limited external debt (PLN 121 mln) and progress in the process of gaining external financing.
- Confirmation of the rating by Fitch Ratings is of a key importance for the realisation of the investment plan of the ENEA Group. It proves the strong position of ENEA on the domestic market, locates us in the group of steady and reliable business partners. The results confirm right decisions made in the Group and activities of a strategic character, and also current management policy - emphasises the President of the Board of ENEA S.A. Maciej Owczarek.
