ENEA featured in the report "Responsible business in Poland 2010. Good practice"

Examples of two activities carried out by ENEA S.A. in the area of responsible business have been rewarded and included in the report entitled "Responsible business in Poland 2010. Good practice". This is the ninth edition published by the Responsible Business Forum. It contains 117 examples of activities, selected from among 230 submitted.

Experts appreciated the ENEA Group’s approval of a comprehensive “Strategy for social business responsibility of the ENEA Capital Group” which is fully integrated with the Corporate Strategy and is common to all companies.  The CSR Strategy emphasises questions connected with human resources management, dialogue with stakeholders, particularly with regard to the local community, and also with promoting pro-environmental solutions and behaviour. There was also a positive assessment of the fact that one of the first stages of analysing the situation in the company when constructing the CSR Strategy was a review of the firm’s social involvement and preparing a summary of what had been undertaken in this field.  The result of these activities was the “Review of the social involvement of ENEA S.A. in 2007–2009”, prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) reporting principles. This was the first time that ENEA had submitted examples of its good practice to the Report, and both were included in a newly-created area of the list known as “Management and reporting”.

"Responsible business in Poland 2010. Good practice" is the most important publication in the calendar year concerning CSR activities undertaken in Poland.  It is divided into five areas: society, market, environment, place of work, and marketing and reporting.  It also contains articles by experts on CSR, opinions by internauts summarising regarding CSR activities in 2010, a description of the most important research and events, and a press review.  The report was made public on 31 March 2011 in the Kamienica Theatre in Warsaw.
