ENEA receives Welcome Company award

As the firm best implementing the idea of social business responsibility in Wielkopolska Province, ENEA has won an award in the Welcome Company competition. This award is bestowed on enterprises which, in the opinion of others from the same community, are considered to excel in their activities in the field of CSR.

Regional Competition Committees appointed in each province nominate and pick the prizewinners of the competition. The committees are composed of representatives of employers, non-governmental organisations, the media, and local government administration.  The awards ceremony took place on 30 March 2011 at the headquarters of the BCC in Warsaw.  BCC President Marek Goliszewski and Editor Tomasz Wróblewski of "Dziennik Gazeta Prawna" awarded the prizes to 16 representatives of the best companies.  Apart from ENEA, other prize-winning companies included:  Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A., TEW Gospodarowanie Odpadami Sp. z o.o.,  Zakłady Farmaceutyczne Polpharma S.A., Główny Instytut Górnictwa and Grupa Polskie Składy Budowlane S.A.
