ENEA buys wind farm in Pomorski Province

Yesterday in Bydgoszcz, representatives of the ENEA Group signed a notarial deed with Elektrownie Wiatrowe ZU-AN of Bydgoszcz to take over a wind farm in Darżyno in the district of Potęgowo (Pomorski Province). The acquisition of the farm is the first such venture within the ENEA Group, and constitutes an implementation of the strategy aimed at raising market share in the area of electrical energy production from renewable sources.

The wind farm in Darżyno was built in 2008. The investment was carried out by Nadmorskie Elektrownie Wiatrowe Darżyno and Elektrownie Wiatrowe ZU-AN. The farm consists of modern Enercon E-82 wind turbines with a power rating of 2 MW. The total power of the 100-metre tall windmills is 6 MW. It is worth adding that the Darżyno wind farm is located in an area featuring very advantageous wind conditions. Its productivity in 2009 amounted to 15 GWh.
