ENEA joins MSCI indexes

On Tuesday, 30 November, ENEA became listed on the MSCI indexes. Calculated by the American company MSCI Barra, the indexes provide a basis for making investment decisions for many international investors. Some foreign funds cannot invest in the shares of companies not listed on an MSCI index.

Of Polish public companies, banks are most strongly represented in this prestigious group. Two other Polish power companies are listed on the American indexes: Tauron and PGE. The addition of ENEA will certainly enhance our prestige internationally and attract interest from global financial institutions. History shows that the appearance of a new company on the MSCI listings usually causes increased demand for its shares, which may in turn result in higher listings. In the analysts’ opinion, the behaviour of ENEA's shares is currently determined by the ongoing process of privatisation.

Having in mind the diverse and international nature of Enea SA's shareholding, and also the provisions of the Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies, Enea SA guarantees the availability of its website also in English. In case of any interpretation doubts and discrepancies between the Polish and English versions, the Polish version shall prevail.
