Changes in the Management Board of LW Bogdanka
LW Bogdanka S.A., the operator of the most modern and efficient coal mine in Poland, has announced changes in its Board. The company is part of Enea Group - one of the leaders of the Polish power market.
As from 16 February 2018, Krzysztof Szlaga will no longer serve as the company’s CEO. Until a new CEO is appointed, the Deputy CEO responsible for production Sławomir Karlikowski will be the acting CEO. Sławomir Karlikowski has worked for LW Bogdanka since 1991, has served on the Company’s Board since 2016 and supervises its mining operations.
– We would like to thank Krzysztof Szlaga for his 5-year service on the Board of LW Bogdanka S.A. and his contribution to the company’s growth. It this time, Bogdanka successfully coped with the challenging market environment, became part of Enea Group, and launched its new development strategy. The high-quality management will be continued by the remaining members of the Board. We wish our colleague Krzysztof Szlaga all the success in his future professional endeavours – said Mirosław Kowalik, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at LW Bogdanka S.A.

I am leaving the company with a sense of great satisfaction as, thanks to the joint efforts of the Board and the company’s employees, LW Bogdanka S.A. is now in very good standing. Moreover, the license to extract coal from the ‘Ostrów’ deposit obtained in 2017 will secure Bogdanka’s production capacities for another 50 years – commented Krzysztof Szlaga, the leaving CEO at LW Bogdanka S.A.
