LW Bogdanka, the most modern and most efficient bituminous coal mine in Poland, belonging to Enea Group, one of the leaders of the Polish energy market, won in Deloitte Central European Sustainability Report Award 2016 competition (colloquially known as Green Frog Award – GFA) for 2015 Integrated Report.

5 countries took part in this year's Deloitte Central European Sustainability Report Award competition: Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Hungary. Altogether, 65 reports were submitted in the national stages, of which 13 went further to the regional stage, and 5 competed for the first place.

Bogdanka’s integrated report was awarded for strong connection between CSR areas and performance data which demonstrate the reason why specific ratios were selected. The jury appreciated the thorough understanding by the company of the relation between conducting business operations and human rights, especially from the perspective of performing mining operations. LW Bogdanka was distinguished also for the method of describing the dialogue with stakeholders before undertaking the investment which, in the jury’s assessment, testifies of a mature approach to the corporate social responsibility.

A ceremony of granting awards and distinctions took place on 19 April 2017 during the conference entitled “Responsible business operations in the light of new regulations relating to non-financial data disclosure obligation” in the Ministry of Development in Warsaw.
