Enea Operator with a prolonged licence

On 31 May, the President of ERO prolonged Enea Operator’s licence for electricity distribution. The existing one was valid until 1 July 2017. Woks over the preparation of the motion with all the required documents were conducted from March 2015. The existing licence is valid until 1 July 2030.

Pursuant to the Energy Law, Enea Operator, wishing to prolong the licence held for electricity distribution, was obliged to submit a relevant motion within 18 months before expiry, i.e. until the end of 2015. However, the works related to the motion preparation and extensive, as required by the President of the Energy Consumption Office, documentation were commenced much earlier. The first discussions and working arrangements with ERO’s representatives were conducted already in March 2015.

On 31 May, the President of ERO issued the decision on prolongation of Enea Operator’s licence term for electricity distribution until 1 July 2030. Formally, no new licence was issued, but the original decision of 28 June 2007 was amended (e.g. within the expiry date).
