The first dry run of Enea’s unit on the construction site

A successful completion of one of the most important stages of Enea Wytwarzanie’s new 1,075 MW power unit construction. A water test of the boiler was successfully performed.

The test was performed under the supervision of the Notified Body - Cert Technical Supervision Office which issued a relevant certificate. During the test, the boiler, whose assembly was completed at the beginning of March, and the whole installation were filled with water. Then, water pressure was gradually increased to 514 bars. The test proved the airtightness of the boiler’s pressure system.

- The boiler’s whole installation is also a thousand elements of pipes and joints. Thanks to the pressure test we verified the accuracy of all these elements’ assembly - explains Piotr Szmaj, the manager of Enea Wytwarzanie’s unit construction. The completion of this important stage of the boiler’s construction allows for the commencement of the next stages of the unit’s assembly works.

The new power unit of Enea Wytwarzanie will be the most modern generating unit based on bituminous coal in Poland and Europe. The investment’s distinctive feature is the most modern, innovative and ecological solutions. The unit will operate based on the steam supercritical parameters, which means obtaining the same volume of energy with a significantly lesser consumption of coal.
