We communicate actively with individual investors
The WallStreet Conference organised by the Polish Association of Individual Investors is the biggest and most important meeting of individual investors in Poland. The 19th edition of the event that took place between 29-31 May in Karpacz had more than a thousand participants. Enea was the Key Partner of the Conference.
Throughout the Conference investors had the opportunity to talk to the representatives of Enea Investor Relations Office and Sales Department at the information stand of the company. The representatives of Enea answered questions concerning, among others, development strategy of the Group, its investments, product offer, financial results and the situation on the Polish electrical energy market. The stand was visited by ca. 500 investors, more than 200 of whom expressed the wish to receive an investor newsletter.
During the Conference there were several dozen lectures and discussion panels. One of the panels, that gathered the greatest number of participants, was attended by Dalida Gepfert, vice president for financial affairs of Enea. The following people also took part in the discussion concerning the prospects of economic development: Przemysław Dąbrowski – member of the board of PZU/PZU Życie, CFO of the PZU Group, Andrzej Tersa – president of the board of Energa, Andrzej Skolmowski – vice president of the board of the Azoty Group and Marcin Chmielewski – vice president of the board for corporate affairs of KGHM Polska Miedź. Representatives of the boards of the companies that are driving forces of the Polish stock market talked about development prospects of their respective industries – about investments that are fundamental not only for the companies, but most of all for Polish economy as a whole, and their funding arrangements. All panellists were in agreement that actions aimed at the development of innovation and improvement of efficiency are fundamental on the more and more difficult and competitive market.
– It is not easy to plan for future, even for the next year. Changing market conditions are the reason why we must have various scenarios on hand. We have to make plans. Investments carried out by the Group are an enormous effort. Our plan until 2020 anticipates expenses at the level of ca. PLN 20 billion. It means the debt of the Group reaching the level of at least PLN 5 billion. It is crucial to precisely plan the level of EBITDA result, as well as the possibilities of debt service and payment. Also very important are: optimisation of costs and improvement of productivity. It determines all actions we take at present. Guaranteeing safety of the Group is paramount – as explained Dalida Gepfert, vice president for finance of Enea.
Moreover, the Investor Relations Office represented Enea at the Akcjonariat Trade Fair – a special 90-minute meeting of representatives of companies and investors. Owing to this initiative the representatives of Enea could meet 120 investors in a short time. The 19 editions of the WallStreet Conference that took place hitherto were participated by a total of 10 000 people – stock traders, representatives of the companies listed on the WSE and NewConnect, ministry representatives of state authorities from Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Treasury, as well as representatives of authorities of all fey institutions and organisations of the Polish capital market (inter alia, the WSE, the National Depository for Securities (KDPW), the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), the Polish Association of Stock Exchange Issuers (SEG), the Chamber of Brokerage Houses (IDM).
