Enea changes the Polish industry

Yesterday, Krzysztof Zamasz, President of the Board of ENEA S.A. collected a distinction during the ceremony - "The one who changes the Polish industry". The title was awarded for the construction of the modern unit in Kozienice Power Plant.

The ceremony of awarding the title of "The one who changes the Polish industry" took place already for the 15th time. The distinction is awarded by the Polish Association for Entrepreneurship Support. It goes to enterprises, businessmen and public institutions, which particularly contribute to
the development of the Polish industry and the whole economy through ambitious investments,
far-reaching restructuring changes and bold business decisions.

In this year's edition the title went to e.g. large energy investments for business courage and responsibility. What was appreciated was the key investments in the light of energy security and perspectives for the development of the Polish economy. Distinguished investments are the modern power unit in the power plant in Kozienice, power units in Jaworzno III power plant (Tauron), Opole power plant (PGE) and combined gas and steam unit in Włocławek developed by PKN Orlen.

I would not be able to change the Polish industry had it been for my team – emphasised Krzysztof Zamasz, the President of the Board, collecting the award.  – Therefore, I would like to say a special "thank you" to all the collaborators for what we are doing together. It is a great honour. I would like to also thank shareholders who trusted us – he added.

The ceremony was the crowning of the We Change the Polish Industry Congress.

The modern 1,075 MW gross unit being installed by ENEA is presently the most advanced investment in the energy sector which has a great importance for the Polish economy. It is an example of applying the most modern available technological solutions. It will also possess exceptional ecological parameters, guaranteeing the minimum impact on the environment. The unit will be launched already in 2017 after just 58 months of construction. After the completion of the investment as much as 13% of the Polish electricity will be generated in the power plant in Kozienice.
