MPEC Białystok has a new Management Board

The Supervisory Board of Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej Białystok nominated a new Management Board of the Company. At the same time, it extended its composition from two to three people. Rafał Darski was nominated the President of the Board, and Members of the Board are: Sebastian Roszkowski (for strategy) and Andrzej Wysocki (for technical affairs).

Rafał Darski is an economist, a graduate of Poznań University of Economics and MBA studies, conducted in cooperation with Georgia State University in Atlanta. He gained his differentiated and rich professional experience on high managerial positions in numerous energy companies.

Sebastian Roszkowski is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Warsaw (Branch in Białystok). Professionally connected with higher institutions in Białystok, he was also e.g. the Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MPEC Białystok.

Andrzej Wysocki graduated from electrotechnical studies at Białystok University of Technology and post-graduate studies regarding operation of energy machines and equipment at Warsaw University of Technology. He has 25 years of experience in the energy sector, including on the position at which he was responsible for technical issues - the director of Elektrociepłownia Białystok.

The new President and Vice-President commenced their functions as of the nomination date. At the same time, the Supervisory Board recalled the previous Management Board. The new Management Board is facing numerous challenges, among others, vast investments in the heating network.

In mid September 85% shares of MPEC were taken up by one of the largest energy groups in Poland, ENEA, holding e.g. the Białystok combined heat and power plant. The new owner, during the next 5 years, will invest the amount of PLN 100 mln in MPEC.
