ENEA a Sport Patron of Free Poland

The Company received this honourable award during the yesterday's gala of the Sport Success during 25 years of the first free elections in Poland. The celebration with the participation of Bronisław Komorowski, the President, and Donald Tusk was held at the National Stadium in Warsaw. The gala and the plebiscite preceding it were organised by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism in cooperation with Telewizja Polska and Przegląd Sportowy.  

What testifies of the honour of the distinction is the company in which ENEA was found. As the best sportsman of Free Poland readers and viewers selected Adam Małysz, the second place in the category went to Justyna Kowalczyk, and the third - Kamil Stoch. The representation of the Polish Volleyball players was selected as the Team of Free Poland. During the gala the most important sport event of the 25 years was also selected. It went to the UEFA football competition, Euro 2012.

ENEA was among the companies which have the greatest share in the development of the Polish sport. The Group is a naming right sponsor of the best world's speedway league - ENEA Ekstraliga, Polish Cup and Polish SuperCup in volleyball and the only cycle of triathlon competition in Poland, ENEA Tri Tour. It also supports amateur sports, within Volleyball Academy ENEA co-organises sport classes for hundreds of children from primary schools of the north-western Poland. 

During the recent days the Group's commitment was also appreciated in supporting the culture. The Minister of Culture, Bogdan Zdrojewski honoured the operations of companies associated in the Club of Patrons of Royal Baths Park Museum. E.g., ENEA received an Annual Award of the Minister of Culture in the category of the Patron of Culture.  Within the cooperation with the Royal Baths Park ENEA implemented the project named "Proud of the legacy". The Company financed and executed the illumination, lighting the Palace on the Isle, Belvedere Pond, the Myślewicki Palace and the Temple of Diana. It changed the look of the park and its objects. The Group has been consistently supporting the Polish culture. Presently, it is the Patron of the Great Theatre in Poznań, one of the most important opera scenes in Poland. It also engaged in the Poznań Malta Festival, which is an exceptional theatrical and musical event in our part of Europe.
