ENEA will become one of WIG30 elite index

Warsaw Stock Exchange will publish WIG30 index from 23 September. The index will cover 30 largest and most liquid companies listed on the prime market of WSE. ENEA will become part of this prestigious index from its first quotation.

Entry of ENEA shares into the index of largest companies is a derivative of changes which were announced by the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Pursuant to them WIG30 will be a successor of WIG20 index published since 1994.  Changes will be applied gradually.  In accordance with decisions made by WSE, WIG20 index will be published till the end of December 2015. Until March 2014 mWIG40 index which presently includes the shares of the Company from Poznań and sWIG80 index will be also published. It means that ENEA shares till the moment of entry into WIG30 will be listed concurrently also within mWG40 index till its termination.

- Entry into the index of largest companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange is not only prestige but also a great distinction.  Presence in WIG30 will give us a chance to extend the base of investors with largest investment funds which focus only on companies included in the most important index.  It should have a positive translation into the liquidity of our shares and contribute to their fair valuation - says Krzysztof Zamasz, President of the Board of ENEA S.A.

WIG30 will be a price index, which means that on calculation of its value only prices of concluded transactions will be taken into account.  WIG30 will include not more than seven companies from one industry, and a share of one company in the capitalisation of the whole index will be limited to 10%. On the same day as ENEA the index of largest companies will be joined by nine other enterprises.
