A hand-over report of the construction site for a new power unit was signed. Polimex-Mostostal enters the construction site
At the beginning of October in ENEA Wytwarzanie S.A. an official hand-over took place of the construction site for a new power unit with the capacity of 1,075 MW to the general contractor, Polimex-Mostostal. The company will realise the investment together with Hitachi Power Europe. Signing by the both parties of a construction site hand-over report means the commencement of the construction and is connected with the contractor's liability for any activities performed on the construction site.
– The fact of the report execution means that we are physically commencing the scope of works covered with the contract – said Krzysztof Zborowski, President of the Board of ENEA Wytwarzanie S.A.
– The first step from our side once we receive the construction site will be its organisation, i.e. fencing, marking, removal and pulling down useless objects, and performing necessary geological analyses of soil – said Włodzimierz Siporski, unit construction project director at Polimex-Mostostal.
On 21 September in Świerże Górne ENEA Wytwarzanie S.A. and a consortium of the following companies: Hitachi Power Europe GmbH and Polimex – Mostostal S.A. signed a contract on the construction of a new power unit fired with bituminous coal. That will be the most modern unit operating on supercritical parameters with the capacity of 1,075 MW (gross) and efficiency of 45.6 per cent (net). The realisation deadline was set as 58 months of the contract execution date.
The first construction works are to commence within the upcoming three months.
