Białystok Thermal Power Station in ENEA Group

ENEA S.A. purchased 69.58% of shares of one of the largest enterprises in the North-Eastern Poland – Białystok Thermal Power Plant S.A. – from Société Nationale d'Électricité et de Thermique S.A. (“SNET”) from France.

It constitutes a subsequent stage of the growth of ENEA Group which has successively increased its cogeneration capacity and renewable sources of energy.

The contract concerning the purchase of the packet of shares from SNET was executed on 1 June 2011. Earlier, in December 2008 ENEA S.A. has purchased 30.36% of the shares of the Thermal Power Plant from the Treasury. Thus, nearly 100% of shares of the Białystok Thermal Power Plant is presently in the possession of the Poznań Energetic Group (0.06% of shares is held by employees of the enterprise from Białystok).

Increase of the capital engagement in the Białystok Thermal Power Plant is another step on the road of realization of a long-term strategy of the ENEA Group of Companies till 2020. Within the strategy ENEA anticipates to devote ca. 18.7 mld PLN for investments in the basic variant. Around 26% of the amount is to be spent for renewable energy sources and production on congregation.

In case of any interpretation doubts and discrepancies between the Polish and English versions, the Polish version shall prevail.
